Toni Braxton to play Darlene Love in OWN's first ever network motion picture.

Thoughts??? I love Toni Braxton...I loooover her new duets album with Babyface...but I dont think she has the chops to sing as high as Darlene Love. Just listen to 'He's A Rebel' or 'Christmas (Please Come Home)'...Darlene sings pretty high. I will still watch though....cant wait. Nice to see Darlene get all this love and attention with the Oscar winning '20 Feet From Stardom' and now this...awesome. This will be out in December when Darlene will make her 28th (and last) holiday appearence on David Letterman (retiring in 2015). The last Friday before Christmaas she sings 'Please Come Home' and thats usually when I get in the spirit.

Every minute of last night is on my face today....

You're acting as if, Ms. Love's a soprano, she's not. If anything she's an alto. I'm sure with some practice, Toni will be able to do a good job.

This is exciting news! Toni really stole the show on the Babyface collaboration project. Darlene has a more aggressive voice, should be interesting to hear Toni take on some of her tunes. If Toni does some full re-recordings I hope they get released!
