I think it has aged better the non NJS R&B from that era.

I just played El DeBarge's Gemini disc, an it sounds more dated than NJS disc from around that era like Guy, B.Brown, ect.

BBD's Poison and and Calloway's I Wanna Be Rich were releasd in the same year. Which sounds more dated to you? Which would get more play in a club right now?

Interestng comparisons...El and Calloway vs Guy/BB/NE. This thing w/ NJS was it was the precursor to rnb + hip hop that became standard sound IMHO, but the 1st two were more traditional rnb w/o the hip hop influenced sound (or at least much of it). I guess it boils down to NJS representing the phasing out of trad rnb vs what came later. Most of what was and still is labeled as "rnb" is way more hip hop influenced than what *I* consider trad rnb.

Blackstreet first album wasnt NJS as well. And that all was like 92/93??
