I always use www.setlist.fm to check a current artists playlist in case I have to get "prepared" for a concert. usually a setlist pops up there within a few days after the show, though sometimes it remains empty forever... in the case of Badu I just noticed that the last concert is from December 14th, and the full setlists are not even on since July. maybe try your luck once the new tour starts

She normally plays a mix of songs from all of her albums, the major singles and a scattering of others of her personal favorites. Don't worry about arriving on time.. she's normally late for most of her performances.

I have seen her twice so far and enjoyed both shows a lot. The first one was around 2001 or 2002, and the other was a decade later. The later one was a tad better musically, less vain and less introverted, more fun and in your face.

She plays a mix from all her albums, some hits, some classic hip hop samples from way back and some soul classics covers.

Her drummer is pretty tight for his age. Last time I saw him he was 16, should be around 20 now.

As others have said, she usually does a good mix of all her albums, so you should be in for a good time. Just a word of advice though, if you want to take pictures and she's wearing a wig...

Be sure to take as many as you can early, because when she gets hot...

she has not one problem in snatching that sucker off.

When I saw her in Boston in 2010, she did "You Lovin' Me" from "New Amerykah 2" and added a whole notha verse which made the song ever BETTER, I thought! That was a SPECIAL treat 2 hear! Have fun!

I´d prefer it if she smoked a little less. I don´t mind the occasional puff on some good sensi but her last two albums sounded very sketchy and very much cannabis influenced...just very lazy and sketchy. Still dug them a lot, but you could tell she smokes too much.

I liked the vibe of New Amerikah 2 so I don't mind the effect its had on her music, I just worry about her when I hear her speak in interviews now or when she comments on things, she just sounds like she's high as hell..

Oh, it´s not that I don´t like New Amerykah (well, I prefer 2 over 1 ) but they are the albums by her that I listen to the least, whereas I still listen to Mama´s Gun and Baduizm regularly. I also still love World Wide Underground (although that brings back too many memories I´d rather ignore but that´s just personal, has nothing to do with the quality of the album).

All in all, I love all her albums but the first three are my favorites. The live album is also dope.

Regarding the stuff she says in interviews, I think it was clear from the getgo that she often talks about stuff that is not as deep as she thinks it is. That whole egyptology vibe and Kemet talk and cryptic shit in the mid 90s got on my nerves as well, especially when you are more familiar with that stuff than she is. Talk about lecturing people.

But yeah, I´m worried about her, too. I don´t want one of my favorite artists to become psychotic and lazy or ending up like Lauryn Hill.
