Just wanted to post some favorite productions from Leon Sylvers III-- who, along with William Shelby, Dana Meyers, Charmaine Sylvers, Calloway, and Co. -- created that "Solar" sound that dominated R&B from '79 through the early 80's...

He didn't produce, but Leon played bass on some songs from Janet Jackson's 1st album.

That "Solar"sound was so prevalent that at the time, I originally even thought that this tune was a Leon Sylvers production--I thought it was Shalamar, or maybe Dynasty---but it was all Vernon Burch --Leon had nothing to do with it...

Many great tunes and a great sound. The production is one of my favorite elements of it and are always great listens.
