He didn't produce, but Leon played bass on some songs from Janet Jackson's 1st album. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

That "Solar"sound was so prevalent that at the time, I originally even thought that this tune was a Leon Sylvers production--I thought it was Shalamar, or maybe Dynasty---but it was all Vernon Burch --Leon had nothing to do with it...
