If you were your age in the 60s/70s, which artist you'd go to see? I'd say Jimi Hendrix.

Can we dream? Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Tour. But that was only in the North East of the US in 1975 and I was only 4 years old at that time living in Holland so...no way. But it musta been pretty awesome.

Sure they did until 1966, but you're really going to hear girls scream and yell. . Jose Feliciano Johnnie Taylor Minnie Riperton The Temptations (Cloud Nine lineup) Earth Wind & Fire (when they were doing the magic stuff) BB King & Bobby Bland Hall & Oates (Atlantic era) Sam Cooke Jackie Wilson Kay Starr Al Green Genesis (with Anthony Phillips) The Mandrell Sisters The Jackson Family in Las Vegas (which resulted in the TV variety show) The O'Jays Johnny "Guitar" Watson A Taste Of Honey Dynamic Superiors (they're said to have nice dance routines) Gap Band (Shelter era) Marshall Tucker Band Jerry Reed Roy Clark Rahsaan Roland Kirk Fania All Stars Wattstax Harlem Cultural Festival CTI 2+2 (Airto, Stanley Turrentine, George Benson, etc.) Dick Clark's Caravan Of Stars (really, a lot of 1960's and early 1970's concerts & tours were package shows with multiple acts.) You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I think my ultimate "time machine" shows would probably be: Capt Beefheart in 1972, the Who in 1965, James Brown in 1972, Can in 1972, Albert Ayler in 1966, Sly & Family Stone in 1969, 13th Floor Elevators in 1966, and John Coltrane in 1963.

. Definitely the Chi-Lites, would also wanna check out Rufus, Mother's Finest... Another band I would probably be curious to see/hear is Nazareth, hardrock band that was being produced by Roger Glover and are probably most famous for their rendition of 'Love Hurts', which isn't representative of the rest of that album. . I don't want your rhythm without your rhyme
