It's pretty much just the solo note for note. What exactly makes it so special? I mean, I don't expect every cover to completely reinvent the original like, say, All Along The Watchtower, but I think one should at least try something a bit different if you're playing other people's stuff.

How about you grab a guitar and upload a video of YOU showing us how to do it "differently".?

I assume that your being impressed with this is due to the high degree of technical skill being displayed for someone of a rather young age. In that sense I completely agree with you, this child is undoubtedly extremely skilled at playing rock guitar. However, displays of technical skill by young musicians are nothing new, in my old school there was a young Chinese girl of around twelve years of age who was remarkably proficient at playing pieces of classical music on the piano several times more complex than the Purple Rain solo. As such I would be more impressed by a cover that completely reinvented the song or made me view it in a different light, given that I have seen child prodigies before, rather than someone who was able to reproduce the original note for note.
