O.K. you guys. Do I go to this concert?

In Chicago on Friday, are the following acts:

The Dells
Enchantment
The Emotions
Bloodstone

I am really torn. The tickets go for about 80.00 apiece. Do you guys think I should go? If I buy my ticket today, I can get sixth row center. By the way, while you're at it, show your love!

Damn, that's QUITE expensive for this show..

I would pay $25. to see The Emotions alone..
the only Bloodstone song I know/like is "Natural High"..

so..
if it were me in this situation,
I'd take that $80 & go to a
VERY NICE
Italian restaurant
&
buy a cd or 2.

Curious to know what you finally decide to do..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

Now THAT's old school! $80 is steep, but if you can save money on a 70s outfit by raiding someone's trunk, I say go for it! biggrin

Seriously, the way I would decide this is if I KNOW I would bitch and moan about having missed the show. Especially, if I've never seen any of the acts perform in concert before.

Follow your heart. Good luck!

Wow that is really expensive for an oldies show. I would love to see The Emotions as well, but I doubt I would go at that price. I have attended expensive shows, but not for an oldies show. If you are really that bent on going, then go for it. If you are leaning more one way then the other than follow that.

Please don't kick my ass! I know it's crazy for me to even be thinking about not going! lol
Natural High? That is our cut, isn't it? Damn. I guess that it's that I have been to a a few concerts in the past twelve months: Prince(twice), Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle, B.B. King, Buddy Guy with Mavis Staples, Edgar Winter, Bo Diddley, and I have gotten disappointed. I like to feel I've gotten my money's worth. I really am leaning towards going though. I love the Emotions so much. I love Enchantment so much. I would kiss the ground the Dells walk on! Hell, I just may have talked myself into it!

You are so right! I have never seen any of these acts perform live before. I have been trying to win tickets on the local radio station, but I just may bite the bullet and just go alone.

Damn. The Dells ain't in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame? Are you kidding me? This concert is a celebration of their 50 years in the music industry.

Depends how close to the original band members the current lineups are. I went to see "The Drifters" back in 2001 and it was four lame young guys, not one original member.

For $45 I could see The Dramatics, War, The Brothers Johnson and The Dazz Band on Memorial Day. Now that's more up my alley price wise.

Good call. If not for Dennis Edwards, you wouldn't even recognize the Temptations these days.

Yes, I agree. I know the Dells still has the same lineup they have had for almost 40 years. As lond as Wanda and Sheila are still singing with the Emotions, then I'm cool. I saw a picture of the Enchantment lineup and I didn't remember seeing EJ Johnson. There is no Enchantment without him. Which reminds me of another group, The Stylistics. How are they out touring with Russell? Back to the subject...I know how I wanna feel when Bloodstone starts Natural High. Whoever's singing it, his voice better be tight!
