Kate Bush- Sat In Your Lap

You can never have enough KB threads smile i needed a seperate thread for this song. I LOVE IT! think it's brilliant. The drums, the eccentric nature, the vocals. After hearing so much of her work... she really was like a female Prince.

This video... like a lot of her videos. Leave me with weird feelings. Was this cheesy? was it art? was it... weird? what was the purpose? i feel that way about a lot of her videos on first watch. That's not exactly a bad or good thing smile

This must have come as a shock, a very brave choice for a single.

Mind you, following it up with the album's title track was even more courageous.

As for the video... lol I just see it as a lot of fun really. Quite different for its time though.

One has to put it into context, most videos were cheap looking things back then.
