If y'all want more Kate Bush threads... ...Then let's discuss Director's Cut. Is it an improvement over the original versions? As a record collector I always like to hear different versions of songs, and I enjoy Director's Cut, but I still think I prefer the original albums. What do other Kate fans think?

I haven't heard it yet. My credibility as a Kate Bush fan may be lost after writing this, but I haven't. My sincere apologies.

To say that I dislike it would be unfair, yet it's kinda superfluous. At least she changed most of the songs up enough to warrant the occasional listen. Moments Of Pleasure is a highlight.

It is what it is, at the time I was just delighted that something was being released. As mentioned above Moments Of Pleasure was a highlight for me too and I liked what she did with Rubberband Girl.

Honestly... have not listened yet. I am still getting into all of her albums. I just heard The Dreaming for the first time 2 weeks ago and just last week i heard Kick Inside Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

It really depends on the track, some songs have gone a little to slow. Like Womans work, it misses all the power of the original. Song of solom has the same problem, too many "pauses" in between.
On the other hand, I love Moments of pleaure, because of the new background voices, it gives the song a real push. Lily and deeper understanding are also good, although the modem sounds in the last one sounds very dated. A bit like Prince his Email song. "you've got mail"
I wish she would have included Why should i love you though.
