We have some sad news to report. Although we never thought we’d see the day, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have separated.

They broke the news in People Magazine today with a statement

:

“We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”

Robin and Paula were married in 2005 after dating each other since the age of 14. Last year was a rocky one for the couple following some pretty controversial public moments…

There was a picture where Robin got a bit touchy with a fan, and of course, Miley Twerk-Gate. But Paula stood by her man through it all.

The couple have a son named Julian who was born in April of 2010. We wish their family the best.

I knew it. He was hooking up with too many randoms.

Guess she tired of that big dick.

I knew something was up when Paula Patton was flirting heavily with those black actors on that awards show. I think its obvious Robin had the biggest hit of his career and all of sudden young women started throwing themselves at him and he couldn't resist.

It's probably both sides. Look at Thicke PRE-Blured Lines & Post. He obviously did get a pretty big head from having a number 1 hit. And Paula was hella horny with all those men at the BET awards. They both probably bite off more than they could chew.

Interesting...Paula paid a visit to Andy Cohen's show and came across as Loving & Sincere when Robin's name was mentioned. I feel they really do Love each other. Fame or no Fame you NEVER know what's going on behind closed doors. For Robin's sake I hope the Brotha's steady-climb into Popularity didnt cause him to do crazy Shit. He's the son of Entertainers so he knows the Showbizness game, but some people don't know how to cope with Mainstream Success...This announcement is def to-be-continued. I'm rooting for them to work things out....

Don't be so quick to assume this is all his fault or that their problems just started within the last year

It must be difficult to be a "hot" male celebrity with a big hit record and all these beautiful women throwing themselves at you.You get invited to all those Hollywood parties,too.I don't see how a marriage could survive all that.Look at what happened with Tiger Woods and his marriage.

He was famous on the r&b circuit. But, most people i know. Had no idea who he was till Blurred Lines. The people in the clubs i go too most didn't either.

It's not like Thicke and Paula were Ned & Maude Flanders before 'Blurred Lines'. The man sang songs about sniffing cocaine and hanging out on Jay-Z and Beyoncé's boat in St. Tropez. And as Guns brought up above, they did seem to have an open relationship... so why did the bubble burst NOW? I'm having a hard time believing that the sudden surge in mainstream exposure or the twerk-Miley-twerk stuff has all that much to do with it. It's got to be a more private issue. And I'm not gonna touch THAT with a 10 foot pole! There's a little kid barely 4 years old that's going to have to deal with the aftermath of his folks separating, that's sad enough without the paparazzi all up in their faces trying to get the skinny.

Maybe his onstage Lothario persona was not at all fabricated. I can't say for sure, but I believe Paula got fed up with his whorish ways.
