Do we know who played on what on Parliament/Funkadelic/P-Funk/Clinto albums???? High
Usually P-Funk albums have personnel credits for the whole album, without any other details save songwriting credits.
Has there been any research regarding recording sessions, comparable to what's been done with Prince and others, that'd allow us to know exactly who played on which tracks? If so, is that data available somewhere online?

....and while your searching with your magnifying glass in and out and all over the secret paper they used only on Parliament/Funkadelic albums in the 1970's, you may be excited to find out "who and when" the actual ancient Sphinx was built?
please do let me know when you get your answer...

I'm not even sure they know themselves. "We would pass by each other's sessions. Everybody would just pile in, especially when they hear somethin' goin' on that sounded pretty good, so you wanna be on that record." The George Clinton Family Series CD's all featured an interview with him about the tracks. This quote is from CD # 3. | |
