Just read the news about Avicci being in the studio with M.....that's disappointing. He's a bit too David Guetta for my liking and that sound came and went two or so years ago! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

I feel the same way...I hope there will be other producers involved

Avicii if you actually listen to his album True is quite different from David Guetta. He uses more live instruments such as guitars and banjos in a country/bluegrass way and even classical string instruments. Avicii has more soulful vocals and less of the processing of vocals. Just because they're both famous dj's doesn't mean their sound is the same. People have this idea that she must work with someone underground they've never heard of, but no one is really like that anymore because you can find anyone's work online now. I don't really care for the deep house stuff I've heard. To me it's just banging. Madonna is dance but she also is about pop melodies. But people just love to repeat all this stuff about how she's using sounds that have come and gone now and doing what's popular and she used to be underground blah blah blah. Even if it's not at all based in reality. But they repeat the cliches over and over again reflexively.

Not to mention the people she has worked with and are being championed by the fans had previously remixed her so it's not like she actually took a lot of effort in finding those people, she just looked at the remixes of her own songs! Avicii remixed her just like Stuart Price or Paul Oakenfold, it was obvious she'd get tracks from him.

Sorry, but that's how it feels to me. I'm not saying Hard Candy and MDNA were bad albums, I really enjoyed them. Its just that M feels like she's further behind the curve than she use to be. www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

Very good point.Furthermore,I don't think there is any producer on the planet who can give Madonna a totally,unique,custom-made "sound" that's never been done before.Look at the EDM music scene....alot of it sounds alike to me.I actually don't care who she works with,as long as it results in a good album. If a well-known,"hot" producer has some great songs and ideas for the album,I say bring him on board.

. Baltimora ?! . Anyway, all of this Madge news is very !!!!! Avicii is interesting, I like Hey Brother and Wake Me Up. "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

For once I don't care if she puts out new music or not though I still love her for everything else she's done. I only liked some of MDNA, not all. Masterpiece, Love Spent, I'm Addicted, I Don't Give A and sometimes Girl Gone Wild and Fallin Free were the only ones I played. The rest was weak and half assed on her part, maybe the critics exagerrating it's brilliance made me not be favorable towards it.

MDNA has a 64/100 score at Metacritic based on 34 critic reviews so critics hardly found it brilliant.

I know some were harsh towards the album, but some called it her best since Ray of Light, which was the worst turn off and such bullshit.

my only real problem with MDNA is this...
Lyrically, the album is all over the place. This was Madonna's first album since her divorce from Guy and she seems to be confused and conflicted about how she feels about it.On some songs, she is clearly angry ("Gang Bang","I Don't Give A...") while on other songs, she seems to be reflective and sad ("I Fucked Up","Best Friend","Falling Free").It's an emotional roller coaster, but these different emotions make the album seem unfocused at times.

But I think that is a normal way to feel about a break up. You do tend to have different emotions about it and are conflicted and not just feel one way especially when it's relatively recent. I think it's good to have a mix of different emotions on an album. Too much of one thing, all angry or all sad would be too much for me and one dimensional. But I always wondered about her, are all her songs autobiographical or does she like some artists do some fictional type of stories in her songs? They may not all be about her and Guy Ritchie.

Rumors and News...
***The album could be titled Rebel Heart.
***Madonna just finished recording several tracks with producer Avicci.A few months ago, several other tracks were recorded in Los Angeles,as well. The album is more than halfway finished. She goes into the studio with another producer next week,to record a few more tracks. She's not saying who these other producers are (it's still a mystery).
***The plan is to have the album released by year's end (November),but fans could get a new single by this summer.

MADONNA 'REBEL HEART'.....the hot new album, coming later this year......

You are correct.Avicii has a more organic,country-influenced sound.I think that's the direction Madonna wants to move in...."Don't Tell Me","Miles Away","I Deserve It"...songs in that vein,as opposed to a hard, cold EDM sound. When the other producers are finally revealed,we'll have a better idea of what the album will sound like.

I'm liking the title...album by the end of the year, possible tour next summer? Wishful thinking probably. My little bro is getting married next summer though, and if her tour dates clash with the wedding I'm gonna have a real Sophie's choice dilemma on my hands! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

"Wait Me Up'' causes me to break out in hives. Nothing good could come from her collaborating with Avicci. My enthusiasm dropped considerably at the mention of his name.

I've always liked Madonna's voice with acoustic guitars especially the songs you mentioned, it sounds warm and lovely. I don't think her voice goes as well with electric guitars in a rock based sound like the infamous Hung Up rock version. So this so sounds like a good direction for her

i for one loved Avicii's remix of GGW... I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Clue me in to the infamous Hung Up rock version!?! I've heard the unreleased reggaeton version and the Diplo remix, but a rock version somehow skipped past the radar. . Have you heard "I'm In Love With Love" or "Run"? Both are very guitar driven, rock tracks that I think her voice is perfect for.

I wish R&B would come back so she would have to leave the dance stuff alone for a sec.

It's not a studio release, it was done on the Sticky and Sweet tour. I've heard both of those tracks and although the music is nice, I don't think her voice works with the music. The guitars drown out her voice. I think there's a reason she never released those.

Hung Up rock version in fact rocks!

Love it skipped the hard candy/sticky & sweet era. In retrospect maybe as a fan I was harsh to be like "fuck this radio noise" but her output as a whole since has been lacking. Timbaloney. . Back to the rock topic, she's been going at this slyly for years since Candy Perfume Girl on the Reinvention Tour. Its pretty evident that she likes to rock, I say let her. It would be pretty awesome to see her at her age strap on a guitar and rock out. Demure would be fun too. Maybe a happy medium can be found. [Edited 3/13/14 14:45pm]

For some reason, I do like it usually when she does it live on her tours but I don't think I want rock on her studio albums. So I think that is the happy medium for her.

Personally I couldn't stand the rock version of "Hung Up" in that tour...really slowed momentum at the end of the show, when it should have been a big dance finale (everyone likes a boogie to finish a Madonna show, surely?). And I never did understand all that slow-mo, "King takes pawn" stuff...what was that about? Perhaps it was 'cos we saw it in Wembley Stadium and was stood miles away (no pun intended!) at the back... www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!
