Julian Lennon explains his absence from "the Beatles" 50th anniversary special

As I watched this show and enjoyed some of the performances, and then seeing Sean with Yoko and Olivia with Dhani missing was the actual first "BEatle" child, the unknown HIDDEN one. (also absent was Cynthia Lennon, the mother of Julian) I thought of Julian and knowing his privacy and shyness i figured that was it, though he was inivited obviously, he was out of the country working with his "white feather foundations" and doing various promo for his current album and photography work, but there had to be something more........and here it is

Sums it all up for me, even more respect for him now. 100% Correct, and I know some will say he is bitter and doesnt want to be seen with Yoko etc...but he is long past that shit.

If you look at his Facebook, it seems Julian volunteered to perform but was turned down by "them", whoever that is, maybe the Grammy people. So Julian didn't just want to sit in the audience and clap.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Really? that can't be his official page, i have never seen him even mention the Beatles show till now, I doubt he would ever volunteer to play in that enviroment.

As long as Yoko's alive and financing that joke of a career of Sean's, Julian won't be welcome anywhere that is an officially-sanctuoned Beatles event.

Well actually i dont think she has a say over what Julian can be part of, this event actually had little to do with Yoko, the Grammy show was doing this whether she or Paul or Ringo were in it. If Yoko had more part she would have been on stage singing Johns songs for sure, and IM sure part of why Paul was there was if he could have distance from her. Julian has no bad blood with Sean, he actually was with Sean when he was doing some tour overseas, that was where Julian really started his photography work and now you will see alot more of his work (pics) in america when u2's new album comes out most of the artwork will be Julians. Julian as he said when his dad would have turned 70, back in 2010, he has no reason to fight anymore, its a done deal, and he knows if he fights more with her it just hurts his brother who really is stuck in a mess just like Julian was when you think about it. Julian had John ditch him at 5 and never look back and Sean lost JOhn at 5 when he was murdered.

As soon as Yoko is ivited, they know better than to invite Julian, if they still want her to come and put her stamp of approval on it.
