Made a backyard-work mp3 disc this morning with some early 70s Stevie, Steely Dan, Depeche, and Millie Jackson. "Maybe Your Baby" sounded soooo good bouncing off the walls between the house and the storage house, I had to play it again. Incidently, I sometimes try to track out "Songs" to see if I could cut it down to an 11 track album. Trust me, it would make a great game for Stevie enthusiasts. "Black Man" would probably would be one of casualties. Katie Kinisky: "So What Are The Latest Dances, Nell?"

Appreciation of Stevie Wonder threads have been done here, alot. But there can never be too much appreciation for him here. I was about to put these in my Birthday thread but I'll add them here, instead.
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

When I think of music, I think of Stevie. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I love his music, and I even have a special personal appreciation for him, that goes beyond being thankful for his music. I can't explain why. Maybe listening to him makes me feel what's good in me, makes me feel tenderness and hope... Let's hope he releases some of the projects that have been mentioned during the last years...

I can! It's because Stevie Wonder for all intents and purposes is - the embodiment - of music. Everything that he makes you feel is exactly what good music does and is supposed to do. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Love him. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Stevie's music is like good, funky medicine for the soul. It's been too long since you've had your ass kicked properly:

Stevie Wonder loves music. And it shows. He knows it and is damn good at it. Someone just posted the full amateur video of his performance of the entire songs in the key of life album that he did a couple of months ago. When he sang Ngiculela, I damn near got goosebumps- and Stevie even threw his hands up at one point too, like he was really feeling it. When you look at the number of albums, songs, productions for other artists, the amount of times he's featured on other artists songs, and just the amount of appearances, live shows, and other events that he's done, it's staggering. He has a huge body of music, and I'm sure there's so much more we don't even know about. I'm a big fan of his entire body of music, not just his 70s work. He performed a new song at that Songs In The Key of Life concert called "Living For Your Love" that sounds great. I'm glad he stays busy, were all better for it.
