I listened to the song at least 10 times this week alone. A true classic.

I feel like I was 14 in 9th grade jamming to this, but it may have also been end of 8th grade, as I know it was released in Europe before it came to North America

I resisted this one for a long time. It came out when I was in college and it annoyed me almost immediately. I grew to like it years later.

My 18-19 self loved this song when it came out. I was in Germany that summer and it was a

huge hit in the clubs of Stuttgart.

'Twas a great summer.

I was 12 when it came out in the UK and 13 when it came out here. Needless to say it was one of my favorite joints of 1997. smile

Did Chuckii Booker produce this or was his song, "Games" sampled in it?

That's a classic right there. Like Dexter, I still play it regularly. 'You liiieed to me!' 'Too bad Mark was always in trouble with the law. I never quite understood what he 'returned' from, but as soon as that song had come and gone, he never managed to return again. razz

Basically, when he's single, he's "The Mack" - as in, mackin' on girls all the time. Because he was in a relationship, and the girl lied/cheated on him, he's now single again, so it's the "return of The Mack".

Good ear. It does indeed sample "Games". Not sure if it was credited though.

Bleh. How come you guys can hear "Games" by Chuckii Booker which isn't even sampled, but can't hear Tom Tom Club's "Genius Of Love" drums looped directly and slowed down?

Good catch.

I'm positive it samples "Games" though. If not, it's replayed.
