Genre-crossing albums?

Been lookin' around for some crossover/fusion/genre-mixing albums..

Any recommendations?

You'll probably have to be a bit more specific. What genres would you like to hear being "crossed" in particular?

I mean, this is a Prince fan site. Most of his records could be called "genre-crossing".

Apart from Prince's records, or The Clash's London Calling, Bowie's Let's Dance, or some of Primus' songs..

There are certainly some albums that contain reggae, rock, funk, soul & R&B all in one.. Sign O The Times is a good example, but that's Prince and I'm sick of replaying his albums.

Try Van Hunt's or Me'Shell Ndgeocello's albums.

If you're looking for "fusion" from a jazz standpoint, Robert Glasper's Black Radio projects fit the bill.

If you're looking for "fusion" from an electronica/nu jazz standpoint, give Jazzanova a whirl.

Beck's Midnite Vultures and Guero albums are viable choices too.

Any album by Puya (salsa-metal). I have the LPs Fundamental and Union:

"Numbed"

Françoise Hardy's 1972 album Et Si Je M'en Vais Avant Toi is a unique French-country blend.
