Y'all remember this movie & it´s soundtrack?
I saw this the first time as a kid 84´or 85´.
It was a blurry bootleg copy that me & my friends
were watching.My brother gave me the soundtrack when it was my birthday & I listened 2 it everyday & waited 4 the
movie 2 show up at the videostore.It never showed up!!!
But then a couple of weeks ago I had the chance 2 tape
it from TV & I don´t know how many times I´ve been
watching it since.
I love the feeling in this movie so much.It´ 1 of
the first major motion pictures about hip-hip
& the soundtrack is the bomb!!!

didnt we already cover this piece of shit... ghat dammit go get wildstyle... again BEAT STREET is NOT a real ip hop movie... ooo.. cus it had a few break dancers... its a movie about hip hop culture,pssshhh... learn about hip hop before you call beat street a hip hop movie LOL... 0 stars!!!

I finally bought the 'Wild Style' DVD and it is very good (in a low-budget,amateurish kinda way).But,I still think 'Beat Street' is a better film.It may not be as "authentic" as 'Wild Style',but it has a stronger story,people who can actually act,and a slammin' soundtrack.And,best of all,it has that long breakdance sequence in that nightclub.

Grandmaster Flash is playing in Helsinki, Finland tonight!!!

Is 'Beat Street' on DVD yet? I have the video but I really wanna get it on DVD.Hopefully,they will include bonus scenes.Do you think the director shot an alternate ending? I really hate the ending of this film!

She just told mehow awsome the whole thing was.

Yeah, I was into these movies, BIG TIME. Anything about music or dancing does it for me. Breakin', Breakin' 2 - Electric Boogalo, Beat Street, Flashdance, Staying Alive and Fame are all great dance movies.
