Rick James on Late Night with David Letterman Paul Shaffer's band for the NBC version of Late Night with David Letterman was ridiculously tight. I remember these guys could play anything and make it sound as good or better than the original. Listen to them jamming with Rick James. I don't even think the Roots could groove like this.
