Barry Gibb has lined up a brief spring tour that will bring The Bee Gees frontman to a handful of major cities across the U.S.

The stateside edition of Gibb's Mythology: The Tour Live currently includes six confirmed dates, kicking off May 15 at Boston's TD Garden and running through a concert a June 4 performance at Los Angeles' famed Hollywood Bowl.

Gibb also will make stops in Philadelphia, the New York City area, Chicago, and the San Francisco suburb of Concord. The shows will be something of a family affair, with Barry's son Stephen and his late brother and band mate Maurice's daughter Samantha also hitting the stage.

Fans attending the shows can expect to hear a career-spanning selection of Bee Gees tunes, as well as a number of tunes Barry wrote for other well-known artists.

Tickets for the Boston show will go on sale this Friday, while tickets for the other five concerts will be made available in the ensuing few days. To buy tickets, visit LiveNation.com or use the Live Nation mobile app.

I really want to go! Wish I could have seen the Bee Gees many many years ago, and since Barry is the last one, I want to try and go.

This is a great idea

I grew up with the music of the Bee Gees and have always been a huge fan. So many childhood memories include their music. The first album I ever bought was their Here at Last...Live album and my Bee Gees collection may even be more complete than my Prince collecdtion as I have every single song they ever released, and nearly every solo project and side project (including all of Andy's stuff).

I saw them live twice. Once in 86 on their tour for the album One, once on the Live By Request concert they did for A&E in 2001 which ended up being their next to last concert together.

I missed the spirits having flown tour when they were on the very top of the music world - my dad said I was too young to drive so far at 16, to wait and see them next year. Who knew then that the industry would turn on them for being too popular. I will never understand that myself. I would spend any amount of money to go back and change missing that tour.

Given all of that, I'm so torn on going to one of these shows. On the one hand I know I will regret it if I don't go, especially if this is the last time Barry tours. On the other hand, it will be hard to be so in tune with every single alteration he has to do to perform the songs without his brothers.

There is a clip of Barry on Jimmy Fallon this past week where they sing everly brothers songs together. Watching that just makes me smile. Then he performs a couple of Bee Gees songs and I tear up as soon as he gets to the harmonies.

I have loved the Bee Gees since their 1979 album: "Spirits Having Flown".

Fantastic album.... and in general great song writing - I prefer their disco music - not so much their early stuff,

Nothing to be ashamed about.I love disco music too

Disco needs to be re-vived.It was so much more exciting than the crap music on the radio now.
