Im in a Prefab, Saga and The Fixx kinda mood. Hopefully there are a couple people on here that are in that same mood as well.

I live constantly in a Prefab Sprout mood, but I don't know the other two bands. Any info about them? Do they belong in the same "mood" as Prefab Sprout? Then I'll surely love them!

I would say that the 'mood', or 'vibe' of the songs that i posted are somewhat similar but as far as the totality of those bands music, not so much. Prefab's music seems to be a little more pop, smooth, dancy and somewhat alternative-pop than Saga's or The Fixx's music. The Fixx are a little more...maybe synth driven and New Waveish(?)than Prefab or Saga. Out of those three bands though, The Fixx and Prefab Sprout have the most in common(IMO).

Also IMO, if you like Prefab Sprout then you most definitely gotta check out The Fixx. Everybody loves The Fixx

As far as Saga. Saga's music has more of a progressive rock, arena rock, feel than The Fixx or Prefab Sprout.

Saga is a really good band though. Its just that they have a bunch of albums and they(albums) can sometimes be a little spotty. They're extremely musically creative, have some cool slow songs, and have a real good guitar player and singer. My one criticism of the band is they can sometimes be a little over the top with both the singing and the music.

Its like they sometimes try a little too hard.




@ farfunknugin. I haven't checked out the new album yet, but i do like paddys voice and his interesting lyrical style.



Its like he can go from singing nice, soothing, songs to song that are like stories. He's a real good storyteller.


His voice kinda reminds me of Paul Weller and his lyrical style kinda reminds me of Andy Partridge and Morrissey.

The new Prefab Sprout album is excellent. Actually, I would probably place it among the three best albums recorded by Paddy, and that's saying a lot!
