I like 2014 best, by a mile. Not only that, there was Madonna any many others shaking their booty in 87, so this comparison is not honest. Plus, Beyonce is not a crackhead.

So happy Lorde wom two. As a New Zealander as well. The whole of my country is exhilarated, especially as she is a 17 year old high school girl.

Just like Australia was in the late 80s, NZ may become the flavour of the month in the USA because of Lorde and the Hobbit

Go KIWI go!

Very cool, my friend. I have not heard her record, but I read it's been critically aclaimed. I think Royals is a really cool pop song, so the awards were well deserved. It's cool that the song is pop, but also has rap influences and has been classified alternative music in many places as well. So it has a mix of interesting influences to a cool result. I find it very nice as well that for once in a looong time a pop artist's been claiming literry influences. Kanye West said dozens of times he does not ever read you know....

I'm pretty excited that Daft Punk won two major categories. It was well deserved. I think the Grammys, contrary maybe to what the majority thinks, is making much better decisions in recent years. Arcade Fire's the Suburbs was one of the most interesting albums (if not the best) of 2010, and won 2011 album of the year. Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know was a success but is also a high quality pop song, well deserved 2013 record of the year (presented by Prince btw). I think it's getting better.
