her last album, while not a pop masterpiece, was a welcome return to Euro-Pop/Dance, with catchy choruses and glossy melodies...

hopefully this new album will follow the same pattern; the farther away from american shit-dance/fake R&B, the better...

Pharrell Williams
Greg Kurstin

The sensual cover art is worth the cost of the CD alone. I want her to hear all the new material forthwith, baby.

It sounds nothing like Lady Gaga Born this Way which I loved. It would be better if it did. It sounds like every other Kylie song. I thought she was going to a new label with a new management and was going to try something different, but it's more of the same. People who already love Kylie will love it. People like me who have never seen her appeal won't be interested in it. Lady Gaga has a much stronger and more appealing voice than Gaga. Kylie has this unpleasant nasal tone which really turns me off.

7" Vinyl Single
EXCLUSIVE TO THE KYLIE STORE! A LIMITED EDITION OF 1,500 COPIES.

A. Into The Blue
B. Sparks

b-side Sparks will be on digital single too, but I thought deluxe edition bonus tracks were the new b-side.

Another synthetized crap. Why do all the songs sound the same?

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

Yes I love her music from that era...but what I was talking about is her new music being discussed in this thread that sucks. The stuff that came out 2000-2003 was fierce and made me a fan of hers. nod

Love the lyrics. Wanted to like this song...but I just...don't.

What I really dislike about the song is that you can barely hear any of the instruments on it. It's so drenched in reverb / delay that it's hard to discern any of the elements on it. It all sounds like it's just made of bunch of explosions and sizzle. There are supposedly some sort of string and piano parts on it, but the harmonic content is messed up due to the production (the chords "bleed" into each other). I've noticed many songs currently on the US charts are the same way (the recent Katy Perry single comes to mind in that regard).

I'm all for experimentalism, but it's almost as if the producers are these days scared to confuse the listener with any real musical content.

There are multiple editions coming out - with various tunes being offered for special editions, depending on which country you get it from. I wish she'd just give us ALL of the extra songs on one special edition, even if it means TWO discs!

Katy Perry's voice is far superior. As is Gaga's...

Great description. One I might use for other "music" in a similar vein lol

.

The mastering sounds like it's just been squashed to death too, which doesn't help at all. This song is 90% of the way towards being white noise turned up loud.

Yeah, I like very dissonant music myself ("non-pop"), but productions like these simply attempt to fool the listeners that they're listening to something really modern and impressive-sounding. I don't know, maybe many people these days get too confused if they can actually hear the instruments.

Looking forward to the Pharrell Williams & Greg Kurstin tracks. Aphrodite had some fantastic songs like Closer or Illusion, hoping to have a couple like that on Kiss Me Once.
