Madonna: Irresponsible Mother??? There's controversy (surprise surprise) from the Madonna camp after she instagrammed a picture of 13 year old son Rocca brandishing a bottle of liquor during a New Years Eve bash Madonna was throwing. Madonna responded later saying no one was drinking and for her tight-a$$ed fans to get a sense of humor. Is she right?

If I were her I wouldn´t have posted it because it´s one thing for Rocco to drink hard liqor at his age but a whole different story when his celebrity mom thinks it´s cool to post such a picture. Makes her look a bit hypocritical considering how she can sometimes be a pain in the ass when her demands for healthy food aren´t met, and how she comes across as a health and spirituality role model and then posts this kind of pic.
I don´t judge her for posting it and don´t understand the uproar among her fans but come on, a woman of her age, a mother, posting this type of stuff? Guess it´s nothing more than simple, cheap provocation and she kind of achieved what she wanted.
Little dude probably couldn´t drink that stuff anyway without collapsing. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" |

I'm a Madonna appreciator so I understand exactly what this is, provocation, which she is the master of. It's "innocent" enough not to raise the ire of the massive public like her anti-war "American Life" period did and her attempts at machismo by brandishing a gun during her last tour, but JUST controversial enough to get people talking because we all know underaged people drink anyways. Smart girl that Madonna is. |

P.S. Madonna's fans have REALLY become conservative in their old age. Just remember younger org members, this too will happen to you, no matter how progeressive and "with it" you think you currently are.

And I thought it was because Rocco has been listening to too much gangsta rap!

She can post a picture of HER underage son holding booze, but it wasn't cool to post a picture of SOMEONE ELSE'S underage son (or sons) holding booze.
Seriously, she could get sued for doing that. |

I'm an American. I have no idea what the laws are in Europe.
But I can tell you that if a parent let their minor son go to Madonna's, and Madonna made alcohol available to their minor son without the parents' knowledge or permission, Madonna could be exposed to legal action by the parents.
She could also be exposed to legal action from the state's Alcoholic Beverage Commission. I can tell you that in Texas, parents may allow their minor children to drink alcohol when under the parents' supervision. However, that does NOT extend to the children of other parents.
I'm not saying Madonna will get sued by anyone (despite the histronics of some people here). I'm saying Madonna potentially put herself in an exposed position if the parents of either of the other two boys in the picture did not have knowledge of, or give permission for, the handling/consumption of alcohol at Madonna's house. |

The picture doesn't show them actually drinking alcohol, it just shows them holding unopened bottles. It's only illegal for minors to actually drink alcohol or be served alcohol to drink, not for them to hold a bottle of alcohol. She later said on instagram that no one was drinking, they were just joking around. |

I know. I also know that celebrities are targets for all kinds of bogus, frivolous or nuisance lawsuits. That picture is fodder for just that, if any of the parents of the other kids are so inclined to try and milk some money out of Madonna. I hope they don't; I'm just saying she put herself in a potentially precarious position.
I guarantee you that at least one of her lawyers has told her the same thing.
BTW, you can't tell if the bottles have been opened or not. I'm no expert on Belvedere bottles, but it doesn't look like the Belvedere bottle has its top on.

No doubt. Heck, I would never have thought about this if it wasn't for something a buddy of mine told me a couple months ago.
He and his wife had hosted an after-Homecoming party/sleepover for his daughter and about 15 of her friends at their house. A week or so after the party, he got a call from the Houston Police Department.
Check this out - someone had made an anonymous complaint not to the cops, but to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission ("TABC") that there was underage drinking going on at his party. The TABC referred it to the Houston police, but all it took was my buddy telling the cop over the phone that to his knowledge, there had been no underage drinking going on. The cop was satisfied with that, and hopefully that ended it.
But we were all blown away that one of his neighbors would call the TABC. If someone would do that to a regular guy in a middle-class neighborhood, you can imagine what a rich celebrity like Madonna might have to deal with.
Like I said, I hope no one sues Madonna. I'm just saying she put herself in a precarious position by posting that picture. |

I drank some water after... the water tasted like water! which is rare for LA. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener
