On their FB they responded to that inquiry:
That was something we thought long and hard about. First off, we're still hoping for something from Warners at the eleventh hour. Secondly, it's a such a seminal album that is currently not available in the UK as a stand alone product. We have amazing liner notes, beautiful pictures and amazing quotes that really add to it being a beautiful package for the Chaka fan, or a perfect introduction to the curious customer who wants to know more than I'm Every Woman. Lastly, we are convinced that we have improved the sound quality over previous releases. All that said, we'd love Warners to let us have the bonus tracks that we all want. But they can be very sticky over such things. We are convinced however that we will be releasing the best version of this album on CD that has existed so far, which is why we still felt it worth doing. |

Chaka pissed off everyone at WB. She has a ton of bonus material out there and none of it will ever show up on these remasters. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu |
