Unsung Returns Jan 29th Unsung returns with new episodes starting Jan 29th. Artists profiled this time the Manhattans, Too Short and Nile Rodgers & Chic (which I'm sure will start up the whole argument of who and what is considered "unsung").

. It's interesting that they have Nile Rodgers as Unsung. He's having a major career resurgence right now.There's probably more than just those 3, but for me the interesting thing is that an ep is "Nile Rodgers & Chic", rather than just simply "Chic". Regardless of the billing, I'll make sure to catch that one when it airs. | |

That billing without a doubt has everything to do with Nile's monster year with Daft Punk and Pharrell. There's generations who aren't too familiar with his "Chic" years. | |

It'd be great if they did one on Thelma Houston. TOTALLY unsung minus her one claim 2 fame, "Don't Leave Me This Way." Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up. | |

I think Nile Rogers is Unsung as a producer. A lot of "white folks" don't know that he was the master mind behind, Diana Ross, Madonna, Duran Duran, David Bowie...just to name a few.
I hope they focus more on that, CHIC is not unsung, especially they don't mention Bernard Edwards.

They've become quite liberal with "UNSUNG" as I don't believe a lot of those featured were Unsung. But love the show. Did they ever do one on Ready for the World?
