"Christmas In Washington" was a snooze-fest

Janelle Monae, Backstreet Boys, Sheryl Crow, Anna Kendrick, and Pat Monahan all performed for The Obamas and other Dignitaries. They sound good and were beyond rehearsed for the taping but the songs they sang put that crowd to sleep. Janelle should have left "This Christmas" alone and gone with something more upbeat. Janelle sang in her lower-register. The Backstreet Boys had no other choice but to open the show cuz they added some Soul with their singing. They still have a GREAT sound but who do they know in Washington that got them that Gig? Sheryl Crow pushed her upper register on "Oh Holy Night" and she didn't do a bad job. Pat Monahan performed like he was auditioning for "American Idol" or a local Karaoke sing-off....

It was a boring hour of singing...It aired last Friday with repeats...Be glad that you missed it....

That line-up sounds like a real snoozer. Christmas shows can be great. Whatever that was that aired on NBC a couple of weeks ago (Rockerfeller Center?) with Mimi, Mary J and Kelly Clarkston was really good!

The Artist brings the song to Life. A couple of years ago the lineup was Annie Lennox, Maxwell & Mariah Carey...It was a GREAT hour...The Producers should have thrown in that young girl that sounds like Mariah Carey...The Obama's LOVE Jessica Sanchez I'm surprised she wasn't there. Gladys Knight would have been a great addition..Gavin DeGraw is a White Brother with some pipes that would've shaken things up a bit...
