If you enjoy Roger, George Clinton, etc. check out this low profile white guy who... As co-producer, composer, etc. , he and Roger Troutman created several songs this white guy released in the mid80s when electronic funk was at its peak.

Plenty of Roger\Clinton quality humor, sexiness, catchiness, and danceability.
He also had Bernie Worrell, a frequent member of George Clinton and Bootsy Collins's bands. Worrell's website is how I learned of this guy last year.
His name is Jesse Rae. This guy co-wrote the tune "Inside Out" that was a hit for Odyssey. In my opinion, his best tunes are The Thistle (video mix) and HOU-D-INI. Be Yourself and Rusha are also very good.
Unfortunately, one of the best "Its Just the Dog in Me" was removed in late 2012 or early 2013 by his record company, for hower the hang reason.
2 of his LPs are available on Itunes and Amazon.com. The Thistle is available on Google Play.

As a big Roger/Zapp fan I wasn't aware of Jesse Rae before so its interesting that Roger collaborated with him too.
