Joni's song "Jungle Line" from The Hissing Of Summer Lawns
still continues to kick my ass whenever I play it.

It's rhythm track and percussion are frighteningly cool &
it amazes me still that this is a song from 1975. Urgh.

I know! I love that song. it was so ahead of it's time. it really showcased how diverse Joni's musicianship is.

i can totally appreciate why prince is so crazy about joni. "the hissing of summer lawns" and "ladies of the canyon" are 2 of my fav ever.

Jungle Line is the one song that sounds so out of place to me on The Hissing of Summer Lawns. I like the song I just don't think that it fit on that album.

But I also like the weirdness of it and the way it just has
this THUMP and the whole thing just rolls into your room,
completely surprising you.

I love playing this in my car. It works well in sunny
weather and also at night. It's such a cool song.
