I totally agree with this. I actually think the R&B scene would be very different today if they had continued to be active and prolific. Artists that are gifted and process many levels of talent are often burden with other things and they get lost in it. I am still rooting for em though because nobody out now has talent as special as theirs (besides Janelle) and I believe there are other political reasons for why they havent been as active.

I refuse to get excited about D'Angelo's supposed magnum opus until I've read an official press release from his label.

I do predict quick platinum certification due to anticipation, hype, and old school heads used to BUYING long awaited releases from great artists. If they go all out on promotion it could be quite an unforgettable year.

I´ve always liked D`Angelo´s music from day one, and I never had the slightest doubt that one day he´ll come back with another superb album. I´d rather wait ten years to have a good, flawless album instead of getting something with half of the songs being fillers or written and recorded while under stress or negative vibes.

It´s weird that even the slightest D´Angelo news gets me more excited these days than any news about any kind of Prince release.

Thing is....D´Angelo´s little teases instantly give me hope (his Sweden shows, his excellent and honest and very enjoyable GQ interview with fantastic photos, or some of the unreleased songs I´ve heard)...whereas most other artists these days don´t get me excited anymore.

Except for Snoop´s 7 Days Of Funk album with DámFunk...I think that one is interesting, too, but nothing is getting me more excited than D´Angelo news these days.

As far as I´m concerned, he should take his time, even if that means another year or two , as long as the music is good.

Those clips sound shit hot. Great to hear Pino Palladian busting out the fretless again.

The positive is that it only has to be half as good as "Voodoo" in order to be a classic!

It's back-story will sure beat it.

This album is going to blow VooDoo away!

I would wait a 1OO years for some great music by a great artist! I am not here for microwave music that comes out every year I think he is doing the right thing by taking his time. He has had great success the last few years touring. We need to support the last good artists we have instead of trashing them. I am happy for him! He will be just fine...

Nevermind just trying to get him in the studio, to record a descent amount of tracks, to fill a comeback album.
