I Never Realized How Perfect A Song This Was Until... ...I saw it featured on a "Girl Groups of the 60's" special on PBS. And I've always thought I've "heard" the song a million times before, but I was wrong, and there's nothing about it to critique. I'm a sucker for strings and this song has the most perfect strings. Little did I know the song was considered controversial when it was released and was banned by some stations. And I'm still not sure if Phil Spector produced it or not. I beg you to give it a careful listen: >

I love listening to those Phil Spector era soul/pop acts. This tune serves a lot of other remakes well, too.

I'm surprised that I don't own a Girl Groups compilation considering how much i love the genre. I missed out on the pillbox hat box set Rhino put out years ago though.

The 60's and 70's produced the best music ever - IMO.
There is so much great music from these decades- when people could actually sing.

Totally agree, girl group music of the 60s was amazing, there are so many more like Chapel of Love, Tell him, Chains, Heatwave, He's a Rebel, Come see abot me and it goes on. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
