This funk classic is
AWSOMELY funky! If you can't shake your ass to THIS 1.. then, something is wrong! Slave knew how to get into a groove, build it up, wear it out & wear YOU out with it! & Steve Arrington's voice.. wow. I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS.. | |

The description STANK FUNK was invented for songs like this. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

This song is the joint. You gotta love Arrington's voice. I really like this quote from the Best of Slave's liner notes:
"Mainstays Adams and Washington and producer Jimmy Douglas pushed Arrington up front because his vocal sound was so distinct. Listening to his passioned runs, sliding between pitches and bending notes at will, you'd waver between thinking he was singing so wrong and sounding so right! He wanted to be the "Coltrane of vocals."

This is the song to play in your vehicle when in traffic or need to get it bumping.
"You make me weak in the knees, do you hear what I say." "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."
