CMA Country Christmas, hosted by Jennifer Nettles, will re-air December 14 at 9/8c on ABC. The two-hour Christmas special features some of country’s biggest stars performing holiday favorites and sharing their favorite Christmas memories. It will tape in front of a live audience on Friday, November 8 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Artists scheduled to perform include Jennifer, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Lucy Hale, Jake Owen, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Mary J. Blige and Michael W. Smith. Additionally, Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson has been added as a performer. The Robertson family will also participate in a fireside chat.

CMA Country Christmas has become a welcome family tradition – not just for Country fans, but anyone who enjoys holiday standards performed by amazing vocalists in a classic variety show setting,” CMA Board President Ed Hardy said.

For the second year, audience members are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the taping to help make the holidays brighter for Nashville-area children. The Nashville-based, non-profit group Generosity will have volunteers on site to collect the toys, which will later be distributed to homeless families this holiday season. You do not need a ticket to drop off a toy. In 2012, the group collected more than 5,000 toys.

'Michael Bublé’s Christmas Special': TV review

The singer could use a little help with his hosting, but his latest seasonal show is fun

'Michael Bublé with Mariah Carey, who guests along with Mary J. Blige and Cookie Monster in "Michael Bublé’s Christmas Special"

  • Title: "Michael Bublé’s Christmas Special"
  • Network / Air Date: Tonight NBC, Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Michael Bublé ’s third annual Christmas special on NBC starts with Bublé summoning the ghost of Elvis Presley and ends like something out of a documentary on the Benedictine monks.

In between, his guests include Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige.

Call it cheerful and eclectic.

Each guest sings one solo and one duet with Bublé. Like a good host and a smart singing partner, he backs off enough to let Blige and Carey have most of the spotlight during the duets, which are “All I Want for Christmas Is You” with Carey and “The Christmas Song” with Blige.

“The Christmas Song” gets a slow reading, in contrast to Blige’s upbeat “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

Bublé starts the show in a back hallway at the studio, doing a spirited “Blue Christmas” with a couple of his guitar players. His numbers during the show include “I’ll be Home for Christmas” and “Santa Baby,” both truncated for TV.

He wraps it up with “Silent Night,” surrounded by candles and backed by a children’s choir.

Bublé isn’t the most polished television host, and it doesn’t help that his running comedy bit, with Cookie Monster, feels forced.

The nominal theme of the gag is that Bublé’s wife — model Luisana Lopilato, though she isn’t mentioned by name — has baked cookies for Carey and Blige, and Michael is trying to persuade Cookie Monster not to eat them all.

The best line is a voice-over intoning, “Can supermodels actually bake?”

We don’t get an answer. And most of us are unlikely to find out.

Barbara Walters: Why Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Lawrence Are Two of the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013

Barbara Walters, Miley Cyrus, 10 Most Fascinating PeopleABC/ Heidi Gutman

null has interviewed royalty, heads of state and screen icons for more than half a century, but can any of those people twerk the same way null can? Doubtful.

The "Adore You" singer is just one of several people interviewed for Walters annual 10 Most Fascinating People special, which airs Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC. "I interviewed Miley five years ago. She was 16 years old, and who knew what her future was going to be? And now we see that she is bigger at 21 than she was as an adolescent," Walters tells E! News. "We weren't sure that she could make that transition, and she has."

While Walters can empathize with Cyrus' struggle to remain successful while distancing herself from the Disney Channel show that made her famous, the TV journalist was confused about the singer's incessant twerking. "I do not twerk, so it was not my favorite subject," the 84-year-old admitted.

Cyrus isn't the only young star to make this year's list. null has proven to be an awards show contender and a box office dynamo—no easy feat for an actress. "There is a quality about her, a freshness and frankness, and she happens to be just a terrifically talented woman," Walters gushes. "This is a huge star who's normal! And even though she hates to be called that all the time, she is."

Walters also chose null and null as 2013's It Couple. "There isn't a week that we don't talk about them on The View. And I also happen to like them. You know, they're fun and they're nice and I enjoy interviewing each of them," she says. "They're beautiful, they're successful, more or less talented, and we just sort of like them. They're fun."

The youngest person to make the list, however, has yet to even speak: it's null!

"The royal baby was the biggest event of the year," Walters tells E! News. "For a little baby who did not do interviews, he became the biggest stars."

Singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist Tori Amos comes to Infinity Hall for a stirring performance of compositions that span the breadth of her career on PBS. Backed by a lush string octet, Amos holds court at the grand piano and keyboards – sometimes playing both simultaneously — while delighting fans who came from across the country to see this rare concert performance, her only live date in 2012.

Amos, whose career took off in 1992 with her debut solo album Little Earthquakes, has built a career of intense, introspective musical poetry. As the daughter of a Methodist minister, she began singing in the church choir at age four and quickly showed a command for the piano and songwriting. While often compared to the mystical Kate Bush and the confessional Joni Mitchell throughout her career, Amos has nevertheless forged her own path in the music industry creating a powerful canon of critically acclaimed albums that explore identity, religion, sexual awakening, rape and more.

At Infinity Hall, Amos performs “Leather and “Winter” from Little Earthquakes, takes a passionate turn at “Taxi Ride,” from Scarlett’s Walk, and offers an emotional testament to her 12-year-old daughter with “Ribbons Undone,” from her eighth studio album, The Beekeeper.

This past week, I saw a repeat of September's "CMT Crossroads" that featured county band Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks. After paring down the list of song possibilities, Nicks and Lady Antebellum finally concentrated on 10 titles evenly split between some of the two acts' most popular material. The concert special featured songs from Nicks' solo career and Fleetwood Mac, including "Edge of Seventeen," "Landslide," "Rhiannon" and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," as well as Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," "Love Don't Live Here" and "Golden."

It was interesting to hear Stevie Nicks talk to the band between songs. She told them that despite the fighting - especially between she and Lindsey Buckingham, the band always came first and they both stuck it out, practically challenging the other to leave the band first. She also mentioned the difficulty in singing the word "Rhiannon" in the song on key (and said she eventually just quit singing the word herself), and that she would leave lyrics by the coffee pot for Lindsey to write music for - but with explicit instruction to not change her words. She later said that, in fact, if you listen to the "Rumors" record, you practically hear two distinct sides because it was always difficult for Fleetwood Mac to write an album together. Nicks also complimented Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott and said that if she had a daughter, she wished it could be her. Aerosmith's Steven Tyler was also in the audience. It was actually a great show!

This Jan. 29, 2013 file photo shows Hillary Scott, left, Charles Kelley, second left and Dave Haywood, right, of Lady Antebellum performing with Stevie Nicks at the CMT taping of "Crossroads" in Culver City, Calif. The music special will air on Friday, Sept. 13 on CMT. (Photo by John Shearer/Invision/AP, File)

Earlier this month, Billy Joel and Carlos Santana were among a handful of artists who were honored at the 36th Annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony. The show, which highlights those for their lifetime contributions to American culture, wasn’t broadcast live, but now you can watch an edited version this Sunday (December 29) on CBS.

Unlike the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, at the Kennedy Center Honors the honorees don’t perform or even make acceptance speeches. Instead, they sit in the balcony of Washington DC’s Kennedy Center with the President and First Lady, and watch other artists pay tribute to them.

This year’s celebration features Fher Olvera of the Mexican rock band Mana, performing Santana’s hits “Corazon Espinado,” “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye Como Va.” Don Henley performed Joel’s “She’s Got A Way,” while Garth Brooks – who had one of his first crossover hits with a cover of “Shameless” — performed a medley of “Only The Good Die Young,” “Allentown” and “Goodnight Saigon.”

The 36th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, which will also celebrate jazz keyboardist Herbie Hancock, opera star Martina Arroyo and actress Shirley MacLaine, airs Sunday, December 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
