She was actually great on "The Graham Norton Show" (BBC America) that originally aired Nov. 8th. Other guest included Jude Law, June Brown ("EastEnders"), and Greg Davies. She performed "Do What U Want" and "Venus" and sat on the Norton couch and conversed with the other guests. She appeared to be having fun and does poke fun at herself. | |

Several of the artists are winners of 2013 Americana Music Awards that were given out last month. The hour-long documentary includes performances from many of these artists, as well as insightful interviews with musicians and music critics about the vibrant scene centered in Nashville, Tenn.Artists appearing in NASHVILLE 2.0 are listed here in alphabetical order (* indicates a 2013 Americana Music Award winner; italics indicates a Grammy Award winner): Alabama Shakes, The Avett Brothers, Billy Bragg, Laura Cantrell, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Rosanne Cash*, The Civil Wars, Elizabeth Cook, Rodney Crowell*, Dawes, Jerry Douglas, John Fullbright, Shakey Graves, Emmylou Harris*, The James Hunter Six, Jason Isbell & Amanda Shires, Jim Lauderdale, The Lone Bellow, The Mavericks, The Milk Carton Kids, Buddy Miller, Mumford & Sons, Shovels and Rope*, Richard Thompson, and Dwight Yoakam*.NASHVILLE 2.0: The Rise of Americana captures Nashville, known around the world as “music city,” in its role as the historic home of music icons and institutions, as well as rising stars and young musicians who arrive with new sounds and dreams of making it big. Creating the musical landscape of tomorrow, Nashville is home to Americana music, the 21st century version of country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B, gospel and blues. This special explores the American musical melting pot, looking to the future while embracing the breadth and genius of roots music artists. NASHVILLE 2.0 tells the story, sings the songs, and celebrates the vibrancy of the Americana music scene.NASHVILLE 2.0 kicks off the “PBS Americana Music Weekend,” which pairs this documentary with an Americana music concert from PBS’ iconic Austin City Limits (ACL) series. In a special episode, ACL travels to Nashville to capture performance highlights from the 2013 Americana Music Association Honors & Awards. ACL PRESENTS: AMERICANA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2013 airs November 23rd on PBS in select markets (check local listings for broadcast dates and times) with an incredible line-up of artists that highlights the best of Americana. The show is produced by Ace Pictures, Inc., a production company that specializes in films about the arts, and directed by Carol Stein and Susan Wittenberg. The company’s credits include “Women Who Rock,” a performance documentary celebrating female musicians from early groundbreakers to contemporary powerhouses, ”Pollock,” a film about the life of artist Jackson Pollock, ”Midori and Friends,” and ”The Tiger Lillies Live in Concert in NY.” Ace Pictures films have been seen on PBS, Ovation TV, A&E, and around the world.Credits

http://www.cwtv.com/cw-vi...dacc27d58b TV tonight: Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and American Country AwardsTuesday, December 10, 2013 - TV Den by Lisa KingFor people who like a little more country in their lives, tonight at 8 p.m. on FOX some of country music’s finest will be gathering in Las Vegas for the fourth annual fan-voted awards show. It seems like there is a different country music show on every week, but as long as the fans continue to tune in, expect the trend to continue. Trace Adkins and Danica Patrick will be hosting the event, and will appear along with presenters Cowboy Troy, Big Smo, Dan King, Scotty McCreery, Thompson Square, Chris Young, Carrie Keagan, Olivia Newton-John, Joe Nichols, Lauren Alaina, Clay Walker, Trevor Brazile, Shada Brazile and Parmalee. The nominations for the American Country Awards came out in October, and Taylor Swift came out on top with eight nominations. Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw are right behind her with seven nominations each. The line up sounds like a replay of several recent country music programs, but regardless of how many times these entertainers get together, they always seem to be having a genuinely good time. There are certainly worse things to do on a Tuesday night than watch talented performers enjoy what they do for a living. At 10 p.m. on CBS the annual “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” takes to the runway to promote their latest lingerie line. On hand to perform will be Taylor Swift and Fall Out Boy. The show is a lavish event with elaborate costumed lingerie, varying music by leading entertainers, and set design according to the different themes running within the show. For men, the eye candy doesn’t get any better than “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” but that doesn’t mean women will be left out in the cold tonight. . ZZ Ward On Letterman On Leno

Burt Bacharach's Best tonight on PBS 9:30 PM(check local listings)For over half a century, the immensely popular and immediately identifiable melodies of celebrated composer Burt Bacharach have touched millions of music lovers around the world. Bacharach established himself in the 1960s as a topical successor to his Tin Pan Alley predecessors, creating some of the most beloved and successful pop music ever to grace radio, television and film.. "Burt Bacharach’S Best" (MY MUSIC) premieres on PBS stations 2013 (check local listings).Bacharach teamed with lyricist Hal David for a stunning run of classic songs, many in tandem with Dionne Warwick (“Walk On By,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” “Alfie”).British songbird Dusty Springfield introduced the seductive standard “The Look Of Love,” while Tom Jones popularized the playful “What’s New Pussycat?,” Herb Alpert romanticized with “This Guy’s In Love With You,” and Jackie DeShannon touched hearts with the iconic “What The World Needs Now Is Love.”The smashes continued in the seventies when The Carpenters reached #1 with “(They Long To Be) Close To You,” following another number one evergreen, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head,” the Oscar-winning tune sung by B.J. Thomas in the film "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid."Soul-pop ensemble The Fifth Dimension presents the sultry ballad “One Less Bell To Answer.” The 1980s witnessed more Bacharach chart-toppers such as “Arthur’s Theme” sung by Christopher Cross and “That’s What Friends Are For” performed by Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight and Elton John.Burt Bacharach continues to perform concert dates across the globe and his autobiography, "Anyone Who Had A Heart," has just been published by HarperCollins.. . Kelly Clarkson is 'Wrapped' in red, but feeling green
Kelly Clarkson's really looking forward to Christmas this year. Not because her Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, has just been certified platinum. Not because her holiday special, Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale, airs tonight Wednesday (10 p.m. ET/PT, NBC). It's not even because this will be her first Christmas married to Brandon Blackstock, whom she wed Oct. 20.It's because she'll be done with her first trimester of pregnancy by then, and she hopes she will have stopped throwing up.The singer, who is 12 weeks pregnant, says she's really looking forward to the nausea subsiding, "and I'm going to be really mad when it doesn't."Last week, I was out with my band and crew. I had to go to the bathroom twice because I smelled chocolate. And I love chocolate!"Perhaps Clarkson can take consolation in the success of single Underneath the Tree, radio's most-played holiday song of the season, according to Mediabase. The song, which Clarkson wrote with producer Greg Kurstin, is shaping up to be one of the most popular new Christmas songs since Mariah Carey introduced All I Want for Christmas Is You in 1994."The label kept pressuring us to make some hit classic song, and, we're like, well, obviously, we're going to try for that, but you never know," Clarkson says. "I just wanted to make it something you could decorate the tree to or be shopping in the mall and hear – one of those fun songs that gets stuck in your head."For her Cautionary Christmas Music Tale, Clarkson presents the brattiest possible version of herself — "Scrooge, diva'd out," she calls the character — trying to enlist celebrities to appear in a Christmas special. "We're doing a show within a show, kind of like White Christmas," Clarkson says. "Let me tell you this, though — it's nowhere near that good. I love what we've done, but that's a classic."Clarkson's show will feature musical performances from mother-in-law Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood, both of whom also appear on Wrapped in Red. Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, William Shatner, Danica Patrick, Heidi Klum, Community's Ken Jeong and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's Jai Rodriguez will make appearances, as will Blake Shelton."He's throughout the whole thing, and he's very funny," Clarkson says of Shelton. If Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale draws inspiration from White Christmas, Clarkson's real Christmas plans take their cues from another movie — National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, with the Blackstocks substituting for the Griswolds."We're inviting our family a few days before Christmas and doing like a Blackstock Family Christmas Vacation," Clarkson says. "We're having Ugly Christmas Sweater Dinner and doing gag gifts."Unfortunately, those plans mean that Clarkson hasn't even begun to get her nursery ready."We can't start doing that, because we have the family coming in and we need that room," she says. "But we're going to start right in the new year."Ashanti and Kelly Rowland on Arsenio Hall tonight!
