I'm calling it now! there will be a alternate rock revival next year. Think about it... every 10 years there is an Alt. Rock revival... 1984 the height of New Waveish rock, the start of alt. rock getting big, and metal getting big. 1994 The height of grunge and the start of NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Tool, White Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Stone Temple Pilots etc. As they all got huge(Note i said HUGE not the start of their career so don't pitchfork me bro)

And, finally in 2004. The rise of The White Stripes, The Killers, The Hives, Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, Linkin Park, Arcade Fire, TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem, Keane etc.

I'm telling you it's going to happen! and also since there in the 4 years. I'm waiting on one of my conspiracy theory friends to tell me how this is all related to the Illuminati.

I think alternative rock will always be big as far as people going to see it live. It's never really gone out in that respect. But I honestly don't see it as being big on commercial radio again like it was in the 90's. For some reason, I guess because they want young and female listeners and they think they don't like guitars, radio doesn't want to play rock leaning tracks anymore.
