The official David Bowie website has released a new photograph (an excellent one) with this short and (maybe, hopefully) inspiring message: "Keep your electric eye on me, babe. Good news coming". So, we have the "Moonage Daydream" quote telling us fans to pay attention, as something is coming. I always had the feeling that he was going to release a new album soon after The Next Day, don't know why. I hope this will be finally true and we have new music in 2014. If not -maybe some live appearance? Or could that be only a reference to the next Mercury price? (I don't think so).

I guess we can only wait and see... with our electric eyes on this incredibly gifted artist, who has made many of us feel a profound joy with his unexpected return this year.

Let's keep our fingers crossed..he spent the better part of 10 years in semi-retirement, I'm sure he cooked up alot of material in that time!

I loved The Next Day, together with Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, this way my favorite album of 2013 by far!

Hopefully a tour. It's time for him to start performing again. If McCartney, the Stones and Elton can do it than Bowie definitely can.

I know, but the "announcement" I was refering to can't be that, because the news of The Next Day Extra had been published on the official website previously, so it's no surprise.

Well, I'm equally flummoxed. We have no choice but to wait a bit for less cryptic information.

Sadly, I've just read that the "great news" was Bowie's new video for "Love Is Lost". And that's all. Well, let's hope there are more interesting news in the near future...

I'd love it too. The two albums they made together are great, a new collaboration would be welcomed. I can't see it happening, but who knows?

Here's David in a new Louis Vuitton ad.

Whenever I see newer footage of him I get the impression that he isn't really the same jovial, incredibly likable guy as he was in his 50s before the hiatus. This version of him appears to be far more cynical and suspicious of everything that's around him.

Not that I am really able to tell that from so little newer footage of him being around. Maybe the themes of the new album have a lot to do with that impression.
