Best alternative soul of the year: Thundercat!

Now this is what I am talking about. Imagine Stevie and Prince but more indy and a bit more ambient. Thundercat is one bad mofo and one powerful bassist, who is betta than Larry, in my view:

Prince is done.

Byron	I'm not hearing him being better than Larry (although he's good). And this guy isn't proof of anyone being "done", nonetheless Prince. He needs better vocals, at least from what I heard in these videos. Lyrics aren't exactly captivating, either. Musically, really nice, though.

I think this guys music is more comparable to 70s George Duke, Stanley Clarke, and Weather Report than Prince. He's damn good, but there is nothing really new or refreshing about his work. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case with many praised artists today. They are just a victim of coming to the game way too late.
