I made this thread so we can discuss Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground. I want this thread to kinda be like (well, in format only really) OldFriends4Sale's excellent and well filled with info era threads.

I want to see lengthy discussions, opinions, reviews of both VU and Lou Reed's ablums and a lot of pictures.

I can relate to Lou Reed on a lot of personal levels so his music and lyrics mean a lot to me.

TRANSFORMER: This was my introduction to Lou Reed. Before this I had never heard of the Velvet Underground or anything Lou related. Being a Bowie fan led me to this album and I am so glad I listened to it .

I loved everything about this album; Mick Ronson's guitar, Lou's vocals and lyrics, Bowie's background singing...everything was just so deliciously decadent.

Will continue after computer charges.

It is not the same thing. That thread is about his untimely death. This is a Lou Reed and Velvet Underground discussion thread (like OldFriends4Sale's threads). In my thread you discuss everything music-wise. You know, lengthy and descriptive discussions about Lou's Solo work and his work in the Velvet Underground.
