Juan Berenguer "Bereguer Boogie" - Paisley Park? I just came across a cassette by Juan Bereguer (from the Minnesota Twins). I haven't listened to it yet, however I found a listing on eBay for a VHS version of the same release, and it stated the following: . "OUT OF PRINT 1987 MINNESOTA TWINS BERENGUER BOOGIE VHS VIDEO, ONE OF THE 1ST PRODUCTIONS AT PRINCES PAISLEY PARK STUDIOS, THIS IS A REALLY SIMPLE CHEESY VIDEO, CALLING JUAN "SENIOR SMOKE", LIKE THE 1985 CHICAGO BEARS SUPERBOWL SHUFFLE, VERY RARE GREAT SHAPE, BELIEVE ORIGINAL PROFITS OF THIS ONE WENT TO CHARITY, IT WAS A VERY LIMITED PRODUCTION RUN" . The label on the cassette is K-TEL. ©1987 Dominion Entertainment. . The cover indeed looks cheesy. The label reads, "The Castle Family Including Juan Berenguer" . Does anyone know anything about this release?

None of the Paisley Park magic wore off on this turd. I do like my '80's music but looks like a sales team was convinced that a few polyphonic keyboard presets and a drum track would make a hit song. Was this monstrosity conceived by cheap suit white guys in a conference room? According to the video documentary, yes. Yes it was. And I assume Paisley Park kept Prince out of the loop on this one. . Thanks for sharing!

I doubt Prince was involved in any way, probably just using his complex/studio, though the girls all look like Apollonia 6 rejects. This video shows me that, they will let anyone have a song, Juan Berenguer was barely a decent pitcher, one solid year which was the year Minnesota won, he was barely a winning pitcher in his career 67-62, and as a a Met fan we all remember him as the wild throwing guy who always gave up alot of runs. Also a unique thing in 1991 with the Atlanta Braves then he amazingly had the freak accident of breaking his arm wrestling with his kids, and missed the whole season "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
