Joni's - Jungle Line Joni's song "Jungle Line" from The Hissing Of Summer Lawns
still continues to kick my ass whenever I play it. It's rhythm track and percussion are frighteningly cool & it amazes me still that this is a song from 1975. Urgh. That's all I wanted to say... and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I know! I love that song. it was so ahead of it's time. it really showcased how diverse Joni's musicianship is. BY THE POWER INVESTED IN ME BY GOD ALL NEGATIVITY BOWS

Jungle Line is the one song that sounds so out of place to me on The Hissing of Summer Lawns. I like the song I just don't think that it fit on that album.

I used to think that too when I first got the album, but in a strange way it does seem to work. At least from a lyrical point of view. But I also like the weirdness of it and the way it just has this THUMP and the whole thing just rolls into your room, completely surprising you. I love playing this in my car. It works well in sunny weather and also at night. It's such a cool song. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
