Why isn't Joyce Drake on this list? razz

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Why is "The Bodyguard Soundtrack" being counted as a Whitney Houston album? It's a soundtrack featuring various artists. Does Clive Davis and Arista Records really think people are that stupid?lol

^Thats the first thing that came to my mind as well lol. I don't care how many singles Nippy released from that album, it's a damn soundtrack. Not a solo album.

I had no idea 21 sold that much! i thought it was around 11 million, i had no clue that it was close to the 30 million mark! thats incredable.. it goes to show that albums can still be sold today.

Quite a decent list! Though some acts had better albums in my opinion that sold less, especially Janet and Madonna but megahit singles drove these albums up.

I wonder what #21-22 would be, I guess Celine Dion's The Color of My Love and her All The Way... compilation, can't think of any other female artist having a near 20 million selling album.

Those are global numbers, 21 has probably sold close to 11 million in the States alone - it's sold 5 million plus in the UK.

"The Body Guard" has ALWAYS been listed, mentioned, talked about, written as Whitney's soundtrack Album. That's not new news. Don't FORGET during The 90's Grammys ceremony Whitney won a GRAMMY for "Album of the Year"...No one ever questioned Whitney winning "Album of the Year" along with the Producers....
