He's right. The night Kimmel aired out Kanye's tweets, they had a brief commercial airing his tour dates for "Yeezus". He's hoodwinking people and folks on Twitter are stupid to believe that that "beef" is "real". He's making more money making a fool out of himself and most keep on buying into it, least for the first week (see Yeezus' first week sales and then the drop off afterwards).
haven't watched the video but I find myself saying this lately as well. from him starting the whole Donda thing and claiming it was to make a better world yet he's selling plain ass t shirts and jeans for hundreds of dollars. I don't understand. This is coming from a huge fan of him and his art.
I love the part where they're talking about the contradiction, and the interviewer brings up U2 as an example of a big act with no corporate sponsorships, and Charlemagne cuts him off and says, "What about PRINCE??". That was perfect.
In fact, his comments about Prince could've easily qualified this post as being in the Prince section. Nice find.
I've seen the clip weeks ago. Charlamagne was right then and he is still correct ever today. Everyone that is within Jay-Z's Roc Nation click are a bunch of liars and walking contradictions.

This is why when I listened to that album, I laughed. He's trying too hard to be serious and you can tell his music is very calculated versus his very first album. In fact I argue he got more commercial after his second album and never really looked back. He had already sold his soul in a way after The College Dropout came out. I think that was the only period in which he appeared hungry and was determined not to sell out but his desire for acceptance, popularity and a powerful reputation eventually overwhelmed the talent he did have to turn him into the person he is now.

The College Dropout & Late Registration is THE real Kanye, while everything else beginning with Graduation is basically everything the industry wanted Kanye to be all along.

I did say it possibly began after his second album but was more apparent afterwards.

Charlamange has a point but its almost moot just because its coming from him. This dude hates/is jealous of EVERYBODY. He has something negative to say about everybody. He's one of the biggest haters in radio. Right or wrong, I have to question the motives behind everything he says.

He's probably following the blueprint of his old bosslady, Wendy Williams. Oh and Howard Stern.

I have yet to watch this video because of this point right here. I'm sure from responses that he's probably made some lucid observations (it's bound to happen even to the worst of us) but this guy is straight hater 99% of the time. Shock jock shenanigans. All I can say about Kanye is that he seems to be in rare form at the moment. He can't help himself. He's a media whore who needs to make headlines just so he can hear his name and see his face ad nauseum. I hope he can cope when he eventually falls off.

No respect. None.
Lol the interviewer (possibly Vlad himself) bringing up U2 lost a lot of points for even mentioning that.
