So, I was not very familiar with him. But lately I got into his music a bit, and more so fascinated by his persona. In the 90s I sort fell out of listing to Prince, and got deep into hip hop, RB and neo soul. I was into real hip hop, underground hip hop. I really resented the direction rap took, becoming silly pop. But there are some interesting new artists out there, actually allot of cool stuff, in many genres. When Tyler the Creator came up, he gave me some hope for rap. I am not sure how to call A$AP style. Its not really mainstream, and def not cheese rap. I think its a cool evolution to a more progressive sound for hip hop. I like it. And I really like his fashion. Also inspired by his views on issues related to color and race. I noticed ppl say he is gay for being into fashion, but his style totally effected 2013 fashion world. Even the new line by CHANEL has been inspired indirectly because of him. Basically I appreciate people who are unique and express them selves. Curious to see what you guys think of him. Specially from those who are into hip hop.
