Yeah bad ass tune!
70-75 is my fave JB era. That funk was just so raw, dark and dirty. The band had their shit down to a FINE art.

AMEN! James Brown's voice is so masculine and his adlibs are hip. This song is HITTING HARDER than any rap song on the charts. The musicians on this recording were so precise and perfect rhymically. Between, James and Sly, as much I love Sly, James Brown was the undisputed FUNK KING of the early to mid '70s. What I also love about this tune is Brown's socio-politcal observations. It's serious but funny at the same time.
