Just looked at your profile pic. LOL. I watched the original Carrie just last night. LOL.

A few things about this....

First off, I think we all know Britney aint exactly Aretha Franklin where singing is concerned. I think of her more as an entertainer than a pure vocalist. The fact that she dances as much as she does on stage while attempting to sing is no easy task, so I'm not surprised she sounds breathy. Also, it says the footage is from 2001. Why bring this out now??

It is old and has been discussed tons of times before, it's just the writer of the article who's late in the game. He/she obviously had no clue what to write about and just picked something that might generate some interest... or not.

That's from new audio, quit lying. Why are we making excuses for bad singers? You are the same people who diss the women who sing with Prince even though they can at least sing.

Freaky, that concert was definitely from 12 years ago. She hasn't even performed in Vegas yet.

Well, this really isn't a surprise. Did we really think she would a fantastic singer? I think what would be even more shocking is if footage was released where we heard her singing with amazing pitch, range, and commitment. As other people pointed out here, she is dancing afterall - which explains her being out of breath... and, luckily, there would be a pre-recorded track playing we'd actually hear over her "live" vocals. I think we'd be surprised who really can't sing without autotune and fillers. I'm sure it is the "norm" in today's music biz.

No one's making excuses. We all agree she can't sing. But it's been discussed before and the video has been out there for years. That's all. Girl is definitely more of an entertainer than anything else.

Yes, it's old news. But, she sounds sort of like her albums if she stands still and doesn't move. I just don't think she's trained hard enough.

I mean she does have a "voice" somewhat. It's not that impressive but eh. I heard that the audio was fake but I don't know. It did sound like her anyway.

Her voice is terrible. The ONLY reason she is famous is because she's cute and others write catchy songs for her and put her in sexy videos. The only talent she really has is not being afraid to go out there and dance and lip-sync.
