Loving this album, actually ELTON has been a freaking amazing run with strong albums since 2001's "Songs from the West Coast" his producer choices have been stellar, this album once again is with the BEST going now T Bone Burnett, the album is totally stripped, its Elton and Piano and very little else. The album has a very bluesy/Gospel feel at times, and though people may think thats crazy to say cause they just think of ELTON as the Pop hitmaker, but his influences were all bluesy and also traditional gospel. I know people will comment on his voice, which i dont really know why they do, he had sugery 25 years ago and his voice range just dropped, he doesnt hit those notes that made him sound like he was a girl on helium anymore and hasnt tried, he has trained his voice in the proper register, something very few artists do when they lose range.
