Whether its been 19 years or 20 years, its nice to see Brandy get some love from her peers. She is very underrated and more influential than what she gets credit for. She's been in the game and was making classics before she was even legal lol When India Arie showed Brandy some love last year she broke down in tears. I think Brandy might have some esteem issues as far as her accomplishments goes because she never gets the credit she deserves. She always breaks down whenever someone gives her a compliment like she is surprised they would think highly of her She is awesome and Congradulations Brandy!!

They're not just talking about her music career, they are celebrating her entire career as an entertainer. Brandy starred in the television show "Thea" and was a guess on another show before she released her first album. "Thea" premiered on Sept. 3, 1993 which was 20 years ago. Concurrance here, I remember the few episode run of Thea but did not make the connection when her album dropped the following year. Jeux Sans Frontiers

You can tell she's very appreciative for every year she has under her belt. It's really 20+ considering the fact that she was paying her dues long before she started working on her first album. She's more than deserving of the praise she continues to receive.

That clip was FUCKING AWESOME!!!...Thank you for the post.
I love me some Brandy ans so does my son. I like to listen to her music on his dj equipment and take out the instruments....her background vocals are just ridiculous, the only other person I do this to is Prince. I like the layering and range and her sticking to that low husky tone and R&B sound is a treat for me and any other Brandy fan. I to notice how she breaks down when she gets accolades from some of the most powerful voices in the music industry. Brandy never gets her full PROPS like so many other woman in R&B. You can't deny that voice it is truly hers and unique. I have all the albums and she is one of the folks that I just go out and get the album just on notice. There is no waiting for a sneak peak... I just know I'm gonna get some slamming music. I wish to see her live one day in concert. Good for her man, that clip had me in tears. My two favorite comments are Jojo saying people her generation pretty much better look her up and Jennifer Hudson saying that Brandy was leaving her on a low run, that was priceless. Wow. She sure got a lot of industry love. I wonder what happened to her connection with her listening audience. How was her last release "Two Eleven" received? I only heard a few cuts from it. Seems like her label abandoned the project after, "Put It Down" peaked and began to fall on the charts. - One of the best voices to come out of the 90's!
