Sunshine when it comes to arranged relationships you and your addiction to certain celbs should sit your ass down.

I used to think Miley was a really cute, sweet, and innocent country girl, but now it is sad to watch her now.

That get-up Selena is wearing is like a cross between a prom night dress and a Bunny Ranch approved lingerie. lol

Of course not. Anyone with a brain would choose a career in country music over one in pop. Country audiences are far, far more loyal. Country careers are way longer and far more successful that pop careers.

Miley could have had a country career for as long as she wanted. She'd have been the top-selling female country artist more years than not.

Pop? You're lucky if you're Flavor of the Month even once. You want to stick around? Then you'd better be ready to destroy yourself in the most public way possible. But no one will be around to help you pick up the pieces when it's all over.

Like I posted earlier, shes 20. She can always go back to country when she hits 30 if she wants and explain all this away as youthful nonsense.

Miley will be just fine.

Miley Cyrus Strips, Swings Around Naked in 'Wrecking Ball' Video: Watch

By Jason Lipshutz, New York | September 09, 2013 12:40 PM EDT

Miley Cyrus Strips, Swings Around Naked in 'Wrecking Ball' Video: Watch

Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball

Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" music video has arrived, and the second single from her upcoming "Bangerz" album has arguably a more provocative video than its predecessor, "We Can't Stop." Oh, there will be online chatter about Cyrus making out with a sledgehammer; there will be even more about Cyrus riding a wrecking ball completely naked.

Directed by Terry Richardson, the "Wrecking Ball" clip, which premiered on Monday (Sept. 9), first shows Cyrus in an extreme close-up in front of a blindingly white background; she's crying as the song begins, and the whole affair recalls Sinead O'Connor's iconic "Nothing Compares 2 U" video. Later, she's wearing a white crop top and matching bottoms, smoldering as she carries a massive hammer and walks toward the camera in slow motion.

Of course, the most shocking moment of the video comes about 75 seconds in, when a nude Cyrus is shown straddling a swinging wrecking ball and lip-synching along to the pop ballad. The 20-year-old smashes more walls and licks the aforementioned sledgehammer before eventually collapsing in the middle of the rubble.

Miley Cyrus, 'Bangerz': Fall Music Preview

When Cyrus posted a link to the "Wrecking Ball" video on Monday, she included the hashtag #WreckTheRecord -- a reference to her goal of earning the most VEVO views in a 24-hour period. The "We Can't Stop" video previously smashed the one-day record upon its June release with 10.7 million views, but that tally was topped by One Direction's...Ever" clip, which earned 10.9 million views when it premiered in July.

Earlier today, Cyrus confirmed that she will be hosting and performing on "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 5, three days before the release of "Bangerz." Cyrus has promised to release her fourth studio album's official track list if the "Wrecking Ball" video beats the one-day VEVO record.

She is serious alright. razz

What a shame. The song is actually really nice, better than expected. The boring video is not. Her licking a sledgehammer and sitting naked on the "wrecking ball" adds nothing to the video, other than more "controversy" and views. Which is what she wanted I guess. shrug

I wouldn't call it boring. Maybe a little obvious and way too literal, but it certainly grabs one's attention. If this is what she wants to be doing (and I think it is), then this is exactly what she should be doing. If I was 20, rich, and fine, I'd be ass-out all day long. If it proves to be a mistake, maybe she'll learn from it. She's in her 20s after all. biggrin

I like the Wrecking Ball song and video. I'm very much gay and the nudity doesn't do anything for me. Folks are so stuck in their ways that all they see is the obvious.

Well, it's nicely done (it's Terry Richardson after all), but other than that... Oh well. I guess as a woman in her 20s it just annoys me, the whole thing. It's a cheap way of getting attention. Every freaking pop girl seems to feel forced to undress and act "nasty". I can't believe that all of them do it because it's how they really are. If I have to watch the ladies get naked, let me at least enjoy the guys doing the same when they want to change their image lol That never happens sigh

Ya'll need to step off, cause Courtney Love approves.

"I liked Miley, frankly. I’m gonna be honest, Katy Perry bores the fuck out of me. She’s a nice girl, she just really bores me. You know, that hillbilly Miley Cyrus is sort of punk in a weird sex way. It was openly sexual... like dark and hillbilly and fucked up."

Well, that article just mentions the fact that Miley gets more coverage than other important news while the Shakespeare theatre has to close. Which unfortunately shows what kind of culture is being supported in our society.

It's not that Miley as an artist is being taken seriously, it's what she does and what can be read into her actions that is said to be serious, in a bad way. I read a super interesting article the other day discussing this.

Oh I know, I was just reacting to the way this whole thing has been discussed by intellectuals as if it means something, as if it has ANY relationship to Shakespeare.

lol Well, all I've read has only been giving the performance meaning as in it showing how racist and sexist the industry is.
