Terrible! It is hard to believe that the person who made "If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time" made this rubbish!

Honestly, is anyone really surprised by this? He said he was only going to play grown-up for a while and then revert back to acting like a teenager. This album should get him right back in the #1 spot. Notice how all of his albums from 1993 thru 2009 were #1 on the R&B chart while his grown-up albums "Love Letter" and "Write Me Back" stalled at #2 on the R&B charts? "Black Panties" is the kind of vile smut people want to hear from him. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

He's definitely going for the youth vote with this one, probably the whole project. For the past few years he's been doing the same thing. Make an album for the Urban AC market and then something for the kids. - When I saw him on lead his set with this song on the BET Awards I figured he was going back in this direction. The title of the album alone was clue. Kells is crazy

I agree with you completely. If he knew how to be "clever" instead of being overtly nasty, he might could pull off going younger. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I was just talking about this subject with someone yesterday. I don't mind songs about sex. Back when I was growing up, a lot of artists were singing about it but, as you say, were being "clever" about it. They were disguised as ballads or dance numbers and you had to really listen to the lyrics to figure out what they were really singing about. They weren't so overt about it like they are today. For example, when I was a kid listening to Vesta's "Don't Let Me Down", I had absolutely no idea that she was actually singing about wanting to have an orgasm. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! Anything that employs Autotune, sucks. EsPECIALLY for a seasoned and capable singer like R. Kelly. Shame on him. It's supposed 2b used 2 correct pitch, not bury a song. It's beYOND sickening now. We need a new trend OR an "old" trend with REAL music and not this b.s. they keep rammin' down our throats. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I guess having a number one is more important than credibility. It appears most of the artists from his era care more about the hits then catering to their hardcore fanbase. I love R. Kelly but this is

R Kelly is like Weird Al, except he actually thinks he is putting out serious shit.

A sad but accurate assessment of his output. I much prefer his introspective material and the sincere love songs he's proven himself capable of writing, but otherwise too sales-conscious to delve deeper into.

the music industry is done and has been toast for a very long time
the recycling of pass glorys, sampling run amuck, explicit lyrical content
it all leads to destruction
what's the saying, be careful what we wish for because we just may get it
and when we get it, they were are got, and then there's nowhere else to go to

I'm not a big fan of R. Kelly doing this style, but at this point, its clear he's doing it by choice. He likes doing rap albums / singles. His last two albums (Love Letter and Write Me Back) I thought were phenomenal and underappreciated. I consider songs like Lady Sunday, Love Letter and even some of the bonus tracks from each album classics.
He's also got a remix out by an alternative band called Phoenix which I think is pretty cool:
Even though his rap isn't ususally my cup of tea, he still usually has 4 or 5 songs on those types of albums I enjoy.
