How would you rate Eric Clapton solely on his vocals?

I'm gonna say just average.

it is quite obvious that Clapton is not technically an outstanding vocalist. When I listen to his songs, sometimes sinful thought that vocally he does not hold, haunts me. This same situation with Neil Young. Вut most of the songs, he sounds very organic.
